Portfolio Case Study: Sign Event

www.SignEvent.com is the largest sign promotion company in the U.S. Their site was used primarily as an internet business card and they were missing out on search traffic. Our goal was to immediately boost site traffic through an aggressive and well targeted PPC (pay per click) campaign and improve their organic visibility through SEO or Search Engine Optimization. Since a single lead for them can generate thousands, it was highly beneficial for them to set aside a competitive PPC budget.

A significant and noticeable increase in profits were realized within 4 months. The following screenshot illustrates site traffic during the first month of this project. Note: keywords omitted to protect client competition model.

Note that 82% of traffic to this site was direct traffic, in other words, traffic from those that already knew the site URL. Also note that the number of organic visitors for the month indicated totaled only 37.

As you can see. There is a significant rise in non-direct traffic to the site. Total monthly visits increased from 485 to 1981. If we deduct direct traffic, the total increase is from 87 to 1863, an improvement rate of 1862%. The success of this sample is unique to the client. In some cases a client may need millions of monthly visitors to make a profit, in other cases, 1000 visitors per month may represent a majority of the market share. For SignEvent.com, 1981 targeted visitors was a significant market share at the time of this review.
